DESCRIPTION
This project started in 2018 when I designed and manufactured 10 copies of a 2D, laser cut, Glasgow-themed chess set, which I sold in Princes Square, Glasgow.

In 2021 my mate Michael and I then set out to try and design and manufacture a 3D version.
​
The product is a custom chess set, with pieces based on iconic landmarks around our hometown, Glasgow, from mostly around the Clydeside area.

MEET THE CREATORS
Alex and Michael both graduated from University of Glasgow and the Glasgow School of Art in 2020 with Master’s degrees in Product Design Engineering. Shortly after, they formed the company, 3D SCOTLAND LTD.
